Our premises are located on the lower promenade overlooking the North Sea with spectacular views of Huntcliff and the surrounding dunes. Radio Controlled Flyers
Over the last 10 years battery technology has advanced in leaps and bounds largely due to the mobile phone industry demanding smaller, lighter batteries. These advances in battery technology have overflowed into numerous applications. The power generated and available is now sufficient to produce models where the power to weight ratio enables flying models of all shapes and sizes to take to the air. We at Charlie Don’t Surf product test all our flying models – It’s a tough job but someone has to do it!!

Buggies
Kite buggies initially evolved from self-build enthusiasts. They are now purpose built from quality materials and to exacting standards. They are are available to buy in a range of specifications from entry-level models to full blown race machines. We at Charlie don't Surf stock and supply Peter Lynn and Elliot buggies with full spares backup. Pilots are now able to match traction kites to prevailing conditions with confidence...
Protective Gear
Any form of serious traction kiting weather on land or the sea will inevitably result in hard impacts. Our protective gear is of the highest quality and specifically designed for freedom of movement whilst kiting. We supply helmets, body armour and gloves by DIRT, 3D and Hillbilly. Don't risk a serious injury and a trip to casualty - dress to survive!!
Sport Kites
Development in multi-line kites in recent years has allowed forms of kite flying to develop into a sport. The most common configuration for a sports kite is roughly triangular "delta" shape, with two lines for control. To control the kite, the pilot pulls on the right hand line to turn right, lift line to turn left, and so on. Using combinations of pulls and pushes (to give slack to the lines), complex tricks and patterns can be flown. Our best selling brands are HQ and Spirit of Air.
